For Immediate Release | Justice League XXX: An Axel Braun Parody Earns 13 AVN Nominations as Mainstream Version Opens to Critical Drubbing

LOS ANGELES, CA – (November 17, 2017) – DC Films' Zack Snyder-directed Justice League is finally in theaters today, but according to the film review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, critics are less than enthralled. With a headline boldly announcing "Justice League is a Disappointment," the 'Tomatometer' critical aggregate gives the 300 million dollar production a dismal 39% "fresh" rating. Luckily for followers of the DC Extended Universe and high-quality adult entertainment, seven-consecutive-time AVN Best Parody winner Axel Braun and Wicked Comix are enjoying nothing but glowing accolades and massive sales for Justice League XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, much like they did last year with Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, which ended up becoming not only a huge commercial success, but also the most awarded adult movie of 2016, taking home 9 AVN trophies.

“I am seriously beside myself with joy!” said Braun, who also got nominated for Director of the Year, the award that he's already won for a record four consecutive times. “This was not only the most complex production of my 28-year career, but also my favorite movie, so seeing it recognized by AVN is totally awesome! It was really quite a wild ride, and I cannot thank my cast and crew enough for giving their absolute best under the most difficult circumstances! I could literally write a book on the tribulations that we encountered during this 4 month-long shoot…and come to think of it maybe I will. Meanwhile, I’m just gonna enjoy this magic moment and bask in the glory of all the love, success, and accolades that Justice League XXX is receiving!"

Showcasing the meticulous attention to detail, incredible costumes and high production values the director’s fans have come to expect and demand, this ambitious mega-production earned 13 major 2018 Adult Video News nominations. Announced November 16th during the 2018 AVN Awards Nomination Party at the Edison in downtown Los Angeles, Justice League XXX earned Braun 13 of his 21 nominations, including Best Director - Feature and Best Parody, while Romi Rain's Amazonian performance as Wonder Woman received a well-deserved Best Actress nom.

“I am absolutely ecstatic with the amount of love and attention that Justice League XXX has gotten!” said a beaming Romi Rain. “Everybody worked so hard to make the movie as incredible as it is, and I truly feel this is the best work of my career thus far, thanks to Axel who believed in me and gave a dream role and an amazing script. Being nominated for 'Best Actress' is a tremendous honor that I don’t take lightly, I love what I do and I’ve worked hard at it, and I’m so proud and grateful to be recognized for this incredible movie!"

Other acting nominations included a Best Supporting Actor nod to Tyler Nixon for his spirited performance as The Flash. And, in recognition of what was by far the most talked-about adult casting stroke of the year, Charlotte Stokely received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her fierce portrayal of the first openly lesbian superhero in the DCU, Batwoman. Rain and Nixon were also nominated for Best Group Sex Scene, a powerful four-way which also included Xander Corvus and Giovanni Francesco.

The movie's production values and publicity outreach were recognized with a multitude of additional nominations, including Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Makeup, Best Marketing Campaign - Individual Project, Best Soundtrack, and Best Special Effects.

On top of earning numerous nominations, Braun's superhero saga is getting rave reviews and setting the commercial arena ablaze, with the collector's edition DVD boxed set already going into its third replication run as its mainstream counterpart opens in theaters. In addition to the feature, the heavily illustrated, gatefold-sleeved two-disc DVD boasts a plethora of added-value bonus content, including a full-color 11x17 movie poster, a character-specific card set, three bonus sex scenes, exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, and an hour-long non-sex version of the movie.

The production's trailer has quickly become a bonafide YouTube sensation, earning well over 600,000 views since its debut. The safe-for-work clip may be viewed at https://youtu.be/kPAoukzAzp0.

In addition to financial and critical success, Justice League XXX has been receiving global mainstream media attention for months, with author and pioneering sex columnist Anka Radakovich writing multiple articles about the film for sexpert.com, while additional coverage has appeared in outlets as diverse as Inverse, Men's Health, Cinema Blend, Cosmic Book News, Die-Screaming.com, Neogaf.com, Comicbook.com, Comicsblog.fr, and many more.

With even the star power of Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Henry Cavill failing to give Justice League wings to fly, Braun's iteration is being warmly embraced by critics and consumers alike. A non-stop thrill-ride made by fans, for the fans, Justice League XXX: An Axel Braun Parody is a seductive take on the expanded DCU that's usually erotic and exuberant, and occasionally beautifully emotional. And it's always dazzling.
